Dr. R. Muthezhilan has an illustrious academic career spanning over 17 years in teaching and research. Graduated from Madras University in 2000 and obtained his Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology from Bharathidasan University in the year 2002. He did his doctorate in Marine Biology from Annamalai University, Parangipettai in 2008. He has served as an Additional controller of Examinations in more than 6 years.

He has guided a number of P.G. projects and supervised 2 Ph.D. scholars and published over 51 research papers in International and National Journals with Google Scholar Citations: 504, h index- 13; i-10 Index-13. Also he has 106 Papers and Abstracts in International and National Conferences. He has organized 6 National level workshops, 6 National Seminars and 3 National Conferences. He has received financial grant from various funding agencies and completed 2 Government Projects. He is also an editor in many reputed journals and he is a member in various professional bodies/academic committees. He has been invited as a resource person in many National and International Conferences.
